During surgery a tumor located in the small bowel that caused intestinal occlusion was found. Histopathologic analysis showed a solitary gastrointestinal myofibroma. This is a very rare tumor, especially as a single lesion, because in world literature, there are less than 10 cases reported. Published 5 August 2005 in J Pediatr Surg, 40(8): 1361-3.
